Message from the Headteacher

11 October 2019

It has been another busy week here at Campion and our Catholic Mission has most certainly been at the forefront, especially during the very special week that Blessed John Henry Newman becomes St John Henry Newman. Year 7 had the privilege of watching a special service with Archbishop Bernard Longley on Wednesday as he said the Mission Rosary. It was lovely to see all the year 7s as always being so reverent and respectful. Year 10 visited the Abbey church on Thursday for their Mass with Fr Joe McLoughlin and Fr Joyce joined us on Friday for Mass with Year 11. Non uniform day on Wednesday was also a huge success with a lot of money being raised to support CAFOD. Next week is our first Super Learning Day and I am very much looking forward to seeing all the events that have been organised for your children on that day whether that be a spiritual retreat for year 8, Drama workshops for year 7, STEM activities for year 9, Finance day for Year 10 or a wonderful visit to Blackwell for some year 11s. Some advance notice for year 7 parents in that we have our first parents evening on Thursday 24th October and it will be great to see all of you there. Finally please do sponsor us as myself, Mrs Quoroll, Mr Griffiths, Miss McParland and Mr Burgess run the half marathon on Sunday.

Many thanks as always for your continued support for our school.

Wishing you all an enjoyable weekend

Kind Regards

Mr A. Grant
