Year 11 Careers Interviews: As part of our year 11 careers provision, your child is entitled to a careers interview with a Careers Advisor. Due to COVID-19, the usual procedure of a face to face interview will be amended to a 30-minute telephone interview. Timeslots for next Thursday 11th February can be found on the morning PowerPoint slide. Alternatively, please check your ParentMail inbox to see if you have been notified of an appointment slot.

 

Careers & Virtual Work Experience Opportunities: To ensure students do not miss out on the latest careers opportunities that are available, these will be shown period 1 on a Monday morning through the morning PowerPoint.

National Apprenticeship Week 2021: The annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships, taking place across England, will showcase how apprenticeships have helped employers and people of all ages and backgrounds. Employers are encouraged to promote the great work of their apprentices whilst highlighting the many benefits apprenticeships bring to their business. Apprentices, at all stages of their learning will also be celebrated over the course of National Apprenticeship Week 2021.

Please visit our school website and click on “Curriculum” where you can select the “Careers” option. Click on the red “National Apprenticeship Week 2021” tab to view support with apprenticeships. A lesson on apprenticeships is included as well as ASK apprenticeships schedule which allows students to register their interest in apprenticeships with global companies.

Aimhigher Parent/Carer Apprenticeship Webinar: To enable parents and carers to further support their child to find an apprenticeship and understand what an apprenticeship entails, Aimhigher are providing a webinar to support parents and carers with this process.
