Wearing of Face Masks in School

06 November 2020

Government guidance: “During the national lockdown, it is a requirement for adults and pupils in secondary schools and colleges to wear face coverings when moving around, such as in corridors and communal areas where social distancing is difficult to maintain.”

All pupils are now wearing their masks every day and wearing them in the correct manner. A reminder to all pupils and parents that it is a requirement to wear a mask/face covering in communal areas (unless exempt). Can you ensure your child has an appropriate covering/mask for school as well as some spare ones. It is the responsibility of parents and pupils to bring their own face coverings into school and to wear them as directed. Disposable masks MUST NOT be reused and should be replaced each day. Staff and pupils are wearing their masks to protect ourselves and each other so your support and co-operation with this request is essential.
