Welsh Assembly

11 October 2019

On Wednesday 9th October the A Level Government and Politics students visited the Welsh National Assembly building in Cardiff. This was an opportunity for the students to see democracy in action and to find out more about the role of the Welsh National Assembly, and the politics of devolution. As well as a tour of the Assembly building, during which the students were able to watch part of a debate on Welsh environmental policy, the students were also able to undertake a mock debate on the topic of votes for 16-year olds and votes for prisoners. All of the students found the visit very useful and were very enthusiastic about what they had seen and learned.
