On Monday morning, year 10 students had a visit from Lucy Carswell, an Aston University Outreach Ambassador. Lucy informed the year 10 cohort on how to achieve a university place and how the process starts now with obtaining GCSE grades. The students had an opportunity to see how university now offers degree apprenticeships. If students prefer a career which requires a hands-on approach to obtaining a degree, they can earn this experience through a degree apprenticeship. The students had the opportunity to ask questions about how to get work experience in careers and if a degree is necessary for a successful future.
