Message from the Headteacher

16 September 2022

Dear Parents/Carers

A very busy week here at St Edmund Campion Catholic School with our annual open evening being on Tuesday. It was an absolutely fantastic occasion and it was lovely to hear so many positive comments about our staff and pupils from our prospective parents. It was a very busy event and thank you to those of you who came. If you have any further questions then please do contact us via the enquiry@stedcamp.bham.sch.uk email address. My presentation from the evening will be on our website today.

Year 12 had a fantastic day at Woodlands Adventure on Wednesday. A real opportunity to get to know each other better through some outdoor activities.

We also held our year 7 information evening on Thursday which was very well attended and I hope you as parents were able to gain a deeper understanding of our curriculum and what we expect from all our pupils. Next week we have our year 8 information evening (which will also contain a briefing on the upcoming PGL trip) on Wednesday and our Year 10 evening on Thursday.

A special thank you to all the staff involved in all of these evenings and activities. They really do go the extra mile for the children here at Campion.

The news this week has been very much dominated by the sad passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II and we continue to pray for the repose of her soul.

Gracious God, we give thanks

for the life of your servant Queen Elizabeth,

for her faith and her dedication to duty.

Bless our nation as we mourn her death

and may her example continue to inspire us;

through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen

Kind Regards

Mr A. Grant
