Work Experience Success!

13 September 2019

The Sixth Form team were very happy to receive, just before the summer holidays, a very positive email about one of our Year 12 (now Year 13) students.

In June, all Year 12 students successfully completed a week of work experience at a range of companies and institutions around Birmingham. Feedback from companies and students was very positive. We would like to take this opportunity to thank, once again, all the companies and institutions who hosted our students. One student has come in for real praise however. Christine spent the week with Pioneer Group. While there she was asked to design a range of marketing material for the Castle Vale Festival. So good were her designs, that the group decided to use them, rather than going to a professional designer.

We were very pleased to receive the following email from Pioneer Group, following Christine’s placement:

“I wanted to extend my thanks for enabling Christine a work placement with our team. Everyone who had the opportunity of meeting her at The Pioneer Group has expressed how lovely she is and how promising it is to meet such an ambitious individual. While Christine was only a member of our group for a short while, she always demonstrated our company values and her hard work has made a true influence in the community. As an example, Christine was asked to create a poster for our upcoming Castle Vale Festival. The design has been a huge hit with customers and employees alike with people commenting how exciting yet professional it looks. Her template is now the basis for all marketing materials for the event, with over 2000 leaflets already ordered (please see attached photos) and more banners and posters on the way to start displaying in the area. The event has also received a high-end response less than 24hours after being posted, which the aesthetics would have had influence over. Christine’s conduct upheld the highest standards to represent St. Edmund Campion School. I have no doubt she has a bright future ahead of her and wish her the best of luck with all endeavours.”

Well done Christine!
