Sixth Form News

18 September 2020

It’s been another busy week in the sixth form. The Year 12 students have continued getting used to sixth form life, including how to effectively use study periods – something that they have not had before! Year 13 students are now fully back into their courses, following the school closure during the national lockdown, and are working very hard to ensure that they are ready for their exams at the end of the year. During progression time (form time), the Year 12 students are working on developing the study skills that they will need in order to be successful in their A Levels and level 3 BTECs. This includes looking at the skill of effective note taking, time management and independent research. Year 13 students are busy researching their options and choices for after sixth form. They are writing personal statements, completing the UCAS application form and researching apprenticeships.

The sixth form leadership team would like to take this opportunity to thank parents and carers for the support that they give to the students. If you have any questions or queries, do not hesitate to contact us.
