Students Visit Thinktank Science Museum

On Friday 16th March, the St Edmund Campion science club visited Thinktank Science Museum in Birmingham city centre. Composed of ten year 7 and 8 students, the science club explored the various exhibits in the museum and also watched a planetarium show about the Google-funded race to explore the surface of the Moon, made up of teams all over the world. The most exciting part of the day (excluding lunch, of course!) was the Destination Space workshop. Here, the students learned about the International Space Station and what life in space might be like through a number of activities including controlling robotic arms, working in micro-gravity and testing the absorbency of materials for astronaut nappies! A great way to celebrate British Science Week!"
