    Year 7 Success In The Super6 Athletics

    Well done to the Year 7 Boys & Girls athletics teams who competed against; NBA, Erdington Academy, Greenwood Academy & Great Barr on Wednesday night. Each athlete took part in field, track and relay events. Big well done to Charlie Griffiths who won both his 100m& 200m races as well as Mya Whitehouse who smashed her 800m run!     On Friday 26th May we celebrated a beautiful Leaversí Mass with our departing Year 13 students. It was a very special time to reflect upon how much they have grown and what capable, positive young adults they have become. Deacon McKearney concelebrated the mass with Fr Joe who encouraged students to be prepared to go forward, ready to learn about ourselves, those we love and the world around us and to not forget the roots we have in our Catholic education.     Triple Jump World Champion & Olympian Visit

    On Tuesday afternoon Mr Brooks & Ms Porter welcomed Nathan Douglas to St Edmund Campion to meet a group of Campion students who have completed Mr Brooks PFC course throughout the year. The pupils got a Q&A session with the athlete where we got to find out about Nathan's journey from School to becoming World Champion! The afternoon included a number of team bonding activities where pupils had to use communication, team work and confidence to complete the tasks set. These pupils will use these skills to deliver a Sports Festival to a number of our feeder Primary School's in July! Well done to all who were involved. Read More

    Campion Goes Rock Climbing

    On the 4th and 18th May the Year 9 GCSE students had to take part in a practical rock climbing exercise at Creation Rock Climbing. The practical plays a large part towards their overall GCSE assessment result. In true campion fashion, the students represented us proudly and were a credit to the school. The students have said that their time at Creation has helped them improve their Team-Building skills and that they have enjoyed their time during these sessions. Read More

    An amazing turnout of students representing many years and house groups met on Friday during long form, as we gathered to hold our annual May Procession in honour of our Blessed Lady, Mary mother of Jesus. Students met in the school Chapel for an introduction to the walk before processing with a statue of our Blessed Lady around the school grounds to the Rosary Walk. This was a time of great reverence and joy, with all students present participating in the rosary and singing. Special thanks to those members of our junior chaplaincy, who volunteered to carry the statue of Mary throughout the procession. Read More

    "Netherlands" literally means "lower countries" and in no way was the football played by teams from St Edmund Campion low. In fact, the football played by the three teams can only be called high standard. The under 19 team started with promise after finishing 4th last year, but football has a way of knocking you back to earth. With high expectations can come high falls. Losing the first game one nil. Winning the second game under very difficult circumstances the U19 are back on track. Read More

    The annual Holland Football tournament took place in the middle of the Easter holidays. Meeting at midnight on Thursday 13th April, 42 Campion students from year 8, 9, 10, 11 and 6th form, along with 8 members of staff made the 12 hour journey to Holland to compete on the continent. By 6am the cohort were boarding the first ferry of the morning at Dover, bleary eyed, ready for breakfast. Read More
