    George had been invited to perform at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games on Sunday evening in Australia. As Birmingham will be hosting the games in four years’ time, there was an official handover during the closing ceremony and George played bass for Birmingham female rapper Lady Sanity.     Holand 2018 - Under 13's

    Game 1- this was the first full match which this particular group of individuals had ever played together as a team. Campion were drew against a local Dutch side RKSV Wilhelmina and to begin with Campion struggled to gel and could not keep possession. Despite this they worked extremely hard and held the home side to 0-0 in the first half. At the end Campion forced and corner, which was not cleared properly resulting in Cameron Eubank performing a fabulous overhead kick which sailed into the top corner to earn a 1-0 victory to begin.     On Tuesday evening our year 7/8 and 9/10/11 girls football teams took part in the first of their schools partnership 6-a-side football fixtures against Erdington Academy. Our year 7/8 team got off to a slow start, conceding 2 goals early on. But after a half time talk and some formation changes, we soon got a goal back after a great shot from Charlotte Duggan, putting the score to 2-1. Shortly after this, Charlotte then bagged her second goal, after a suberb strike, leaving the keeper with no chance and equalizing the score. A third was then scored to make it 3-2 and put the girls into the lead, but was unfortunately short lived as the opposing team scored to make it 3-3 overall. Read More

    Yr11 students visited the Royal Shakespeare Company

    On Monday 26th March the Drama Department took 20 Yr11 students to the Royal Shakespeare Company to see their newest version of Macbeth. This was a really important trip for the Yr11s as they will be writing about Macbeth for their English exam in May. The adaptation was set in modern day Scotland and really relatable- with the three witches played by three children. With famous actors such as Niamh Cusack and Christopher Eccleston as Macbeth and Lady Macbeth this is a performance not to be missed. It was that good Campion are going back in May and taking the Yr11 Performing Arts class- 10 days before their exam! Thank you very much to the RSC for having us; until next time. Read More

    On Wednesday 14th March six of our year 12 English Literature students bravely stepped up to the podium by participating in the Catholic Secondary Schools Key Stage 5 debate. Although we didn't bring home the trophy this time, Katrina Hollier, Ella Smith, Mariam Bello Mohammed, Chloe Smith, Eve Baker-Sullivan and Ellie Grady performed well as a team and showed their Campion spirit through their support of each other in completing this challenging task.   • Let's Feed Brum

    Let's Feed Brum

    Team Envision today met with a representative from the homeless charity 'Let's feed Brum', donating a car boot full of clothes, sleeping bags and food. So far in their efforts the team have raised over £1000 which is a remarkable achievement, and full credit should go to our Year 10 representatives; Caitlin Harrison, Chi-Khiem Hoang, Olivia Lawrence, Bavitra Rajakumaran, Zartasha Sameem, Rhianne Brough, Briana Fields, Laura Pace, Katie Prince, Lena Speksnyder and Zaiba Mazher. The team have only the board room challenge to face now in their project and we are very proud of their efforts so far. Read More
