PiXL Edge

  • Pixl

At St Edmund Campion Catholic School we want our students to be successful in their education and future employment. Alongside taught qualifications we want our students to develop important skills necessary for a successful transition into further education and employment. To this end, students in Year 7 and 8 are following the PiXL Edge framework.

“Success and Achievement are not the same thing. Achievement is something that is reached or attained, like an examination result or other goal. It is something tangible, clearly defined and measurable. Success, in contrast, is a feeling or a state of being. The PiXL Edge framework aims to bring together the development of the whole person, developing confidence, and ultimately success, in young people.” From the PiXL Edge LORIC Handbook

The PiXL Edge is a framework for schools to develop and accredit in students those personal attributes essential for employability and life.

The scheme will focus on five key attributes:

  • Leadership (red)
  • Organisation (green)
  • Initiative (purple)
  • Resilience (blue)
  • Communication (yellow)

Students will qualify at three levels:

  • Level 1: PiXL Apprentice (for Year 7 and 8)
  • Level 2: PiXL Graduate (for Year 9+)
  • Level 3: PiXL Master (for Year 12 and 13)
