Teaching Assistant (GR2)

Salary Range: Grade 2

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our established team of Raising Achievement Assistants to cover a maternity leave.  There is a possibility of a permanent position at the end of the fixed term period.  The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children with special educational needs in a secondary or primary school setting.  The role involves providing in-class support for pupils with learning difficulties.

Our school was graded ‘Good’ with an ‘Outstanding’ Sixth Form by Ofsted in our last inspection.  We have a talented, committed team of teaching and support staff who share a passion for improving the life chances of our pupils.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment.  The successful candidate will be subject to all necessary pre-employment checks including enhanced DBS; Prohibition check; Childcare Disqualification (where applicable); qualifications (where applicable); medical fitness; identity and right to work.  All applicants will be required to provide two suitable references.
