Back to NewsNewman University Visit
For the second consecutive year, a cohort of students studying BTEC level 3 Sport visited Newman University. The day was advertised as a ‘Sport’ Learning Day at Newman University with the the intention of getting students interested in pursuing a career in sport. Whilst there they had the opportunity to take part in three sessions providing an insight into studying the core aspects of Sport at University and providing the opportunity to have a campus experience as well as visiting several social areas of the building culminating in a visit to the chapel. The pupils fully engaged with the staff and the day, hopefully gleaning valuable information from the event.
As a side note, it was also great to see a former pupil and BTEC student of the school attending lectures. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the pathway through our sixth form to further/higher education. Great day!
