This week the Year 10 drama students went to see a devised piece of theatre at the Birmingham MAC by University of Worcester students. This style of theatre has been seen and studied previously by these students so we had high hopes! The piece displayed themes such as home/what it means to be at home and the displacement you may feel moving to another country. The story followed a main character who had migrated to another country, couldn't speak the language and felt stripped bare of her identity. We had fantastic seats and in a small studio space it was a really intimate performance. Students were also given the opportunity at the end of the session to have a Q&A with the cast where they asked more questions than any of the other schools. Well done Worcester Uni and thank you for inviting us to come and watch your performance. The students will be completing a mock question on the performance next week for assessment to prepare them for their exam at the end of Year 11.
