Message from the Headteacher

04 October 2019

This week we have seen year 7 and year 9 attend Mass at the Abbey church. To see our pupils being so reverent, reflective and respectful during this special time has again filled me with absolute pride to be the Headteacher of St Edmund Campion School. The Abbey church has such a standing within our community. If you haven't visited I urge you to do so as it is one of the most beautiful places of worship I have ever been to.

It has been a pleasure again this week to see much of the work our pupils have been doing especially around their homework. Please keep monitoring how much homework and studying your children are doing as it has such an impact on their achievement. (Also keep an eye on how much computer/screen time they have!)

We had a well-attended UCAS evening on Wednesday and I must thank Mrs Griffiths and Mr Billington for their organisation of this very informative evening for our year 12 pupils thinking about going to University.

Next Wednesday we will be having a non-uniform day in order to raise money for CAFOD as well as supporting with our extra-curricular super learning day programme.

Finally, next Sunday, myself, Mrs Quoroll, Mr Griffiths and Miss McParland are running the Birmingham half marathon and are hoping to raise money for Tia Flood's house renovations. If you've yet to catch up with Tia's story you can read it here. There is also a link to her funding page. Please do sponsor us if you can.
