Note to All Parents - Attendance

08 October 2021

Lateral flow tests are for regular asymptomatic testing that pupils should be doing twice weekly.

If your child has a high temperature, continuous cough or a loss/change to sense of smell or taste, they must take a PCR test. You must inform school, via the attendance app if possible, that your child has covid symptoms and the date that you have booked the PCR and the day the symptoms started. When you receive the results from the PCR please inform school immediately.

If the PCR is negative and your child is well they may return to school. If they are still ill, let school know and we will mark them as ill for the duration of their illness.

If the PCR is positive then they will need to remain at home and isolate for the appropriate period (10 days from the day after the start of their symptoms).

We are aware that there is a winter flu also going around at the moment. Please follow normal guidance for this and keep them at home if they are genuinely unwell as long as you let school know.

Please follow the covid guidelines and only get a PCR test if they have the symptoms above.

We would request that you support school and our Attendance Officer by contacting school daily if your child is not going to be in school.

Your support is greatly appreciated.
