Message from the Headteacher

30 April 2021

Dear Parents/Carers

This week we held the second of our virtual parents’ evenings. It was the turn of our vibrant sixth form and feedback from parents and staff has been extremely positive. I certainly hope that those of you involved found it a useful experience.

We also welcomed a new member of staff to Campion this week with Mrs Jones joining us in the main school office. The office is certainly a very busy part of school life and I know Mrs Jones will be a very valuable asset to our administration team.

You are probably aware that we had a couple of technical issues in school this week that affected our ability to provide hot food for a short period of time. Our amazing site team sorted out a very complex issue very quickly so that we were only affected very briefly. But it made me reflect just how much we rely on our premises team to keep the school running and functioning so smoothly and how lucky we are as a school to have such a great team in this area.

This Sunday’s Gospel reading is that of ‘The True Vine’ where Jesus tells his disciples that “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask what you will and you shall get it. It is to the glory of my Father that you should bear much fruit, and then you will be my disciples.”

This Gospel asks us to reflect on our core Goodness within the vine and to ask what needs pruning from our lives so that we can let Christ in.

I hope you all enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend (remember school is closed on Monday! (as if you needed reminding!)

Kind regards

Mr A Grant
