    On Sunday 8th July the Campion SEN department participated In the Cancer Research Race For Life. This was no ordinary 5k run, as thousands of woman were united with one purpose. To come together.   • GCSE Year 9/10 London Trip

    GCSE Year 9/10 London Trip

    On Tuesday 10th July, 44 GCSE Geographers from Year 9 and 10 travelled to London for the day. They spent the morning looking around the Museum of the London Docklands and exploring Canary Wharf to see how it has changed over time. We even saw a glimpse of the RAF planes flying over London. In the afternoon we visited The Crystal – one of the world’s most sustainable buildings!! Read More

    On Tuesday St Edmund Campion welcomed over 300 Yr5 Primary School children from; The Abbey, St Gerard’s, St Mary & Johns, SS Margret Mary, St Barnabas and SS Peter & Paul. The day began with a warm welcome from Mrs Steele, followed by the pupils getting a taster of lessons that take place at Campion. This included; Spanish Tapas, Music workshops, Dancing Divas, Amazing Art, Drama and many more!! From here, a beautiful mass was delivered by Fr Eddie & Deacon McKearney. After a well-deserved lunch, the Yr5 pupils were in for an afternoon of sporting activities delivered by the PE department. Read More

    On Wednesday, St Edmund Campion welcomed our new Year 7 pupils for their induction day. The day was a full packed day with a rotation of workshops which involved; making slime in science, creating music and drama performances as well as experiencing some trampoling to name a few! Everyone enjoyed their yummy lunch too. The pupils were well looked after by their SEC Student Leaders who did an amazing job and represented Campion in true style.     Know someone who has fallen away from the faith? Join Pope Francis in praying for them next month, as he dedicates July to praying for those distant from the faith. Tuesday ‘Voluntary Mass’ - Our weekly celebration of Mass before school continues to be held in the Chapel. All members of the school community are welcome to attend Mass at 8.25am every Tuesday. This is a great opportunity to fit this most sacred of celebrations into your week; if you haven’t been before, take that small leap of faith into the Chapel and join us.     On Tuesday 26th June 21 year 7s went on a history trip to Warwick Castle. They learnt battle skills, including how to become a medieval knight and how to defend themselves with a long sword, hopefully they won't use these skills at school.... We then explored the Great Hall and the castle battlements and had an amazing view of Warwick at the top, after walking 500 steps to get there! Read More

    Last Friday saw a group of year 8 and 9 pupils take part in the Birmingham Catholic Partnership Event at Bishop Walsh. The pupils had a lovely day, enjoying the sunshine and displaying some fantastic sporting talent throughout the various activities. The pupils took part in futsal, frisbee, handball and relay events, displaying excellent teamwork within each activity. St Edmund Campion finished 3rd overall out of 7 schools and should be proud of their efforts on the day. Read More

  • Year 8 Geography Trip to Snowdonia

    Year 8 Geography Trip to Snowdonia

    On Friday 15th June, 49 Year 8 Geographers travelled to Snowdonia in North Wales. In the morning they took a tour of The Electric Mountain in Llanberis and explored how electricity is generated in a sustainable way using hydro-electric power. In the afternoon they hiked up to Lyn Idwal near Ogwen and saw some stunning views of valleys that had been carved out by glaciers 10 000 years ago! Read More
