    On Friday 8th March, 50 students from Y10 and Y11 paid a visit to The Globe theatre in London to see a performance of Romeo and Juliet. They were accompanied by Mrs Roden, Mr Evans, Miss Bowater, Mrs Millross and Mrs Brady. The behaviour of the students was impeccable, and they had a fabulous experience which will really support their preparation for the forthcoming English Literature exam. Read More

    Year 10 have been asked to find their own exciting recipe and cook them during their Food Preparation and Nutrition lesson. In Year 11, they will be required to cook a three-course meal during a 3-hour time slot in the style of Britain’s favourite TV show ‘The Great British Bake Off’ and ‘MasterChef’.     Year 9 have been making some amazing practical work and we are so proud of their individual achievements. Year 9s have only studied food for a short time in Year 7 and 8, but they have showcased some amazing skills so far. One pupil who particularly stands out for his amazing culinary skills is Abdurahman Abdullah. He has created some amazing dishes and chosen some amazing recipes including salmon and curry.     On Saturday 2nd March 15 pupils from years 7-10 along with Miss Rochford and Mr Evans met at school to start their journey to Switzerland, meeting up with 3 other local schools at Birmingham airport. Our brightly coloured hoodies meant we were easily identifiable at both Birmingham and Geneva airport and we could easily spot other pupils who were eagerly anticipating a week of skiing in the beautiful Swiss Alps and resort of Crans Montana.
