    Year 10 have been asked to find their own exciting recipe and cook them during their Food Preparation and Nutrition lesson. In Year 11, they will be required to cook a three-course meal during a 3-hour time slot in the style of Britain’s favourite TV show ‘The Great British Bake Off’ and ‘MasterChef’.     Year 9 have been making some amazing practical work and we are so proud of their individual achievements. Year 9s have only studied food for a short time in Year 7 and 8, but they have showcased some amazing skills so far. One pupil who particularly stands out for his amazing culinary skills is Abdurahman Abdullah. He has created some amazing dishes and chosen some amazing recipes including salmon and curry.     On Saturday 2nd March 15 pupils from years 7-10 along with Miss Rochford and Mr Evans met at school to start their journey to Switzerland, meeting up with 3 other local schools at Birmingham airport. Our brightly coloured hoodies meant we were easily identifiable at both Birmingham and Geneva airport and we could easily spot other pupils who were eagerly anticipating a week of skiing in the beautiful Swiss Alps and resort of Crans Montana.     Hairspray 2019 – That’s All Folks!

    The school show is over for another year. Hairspray was a huge success this year! For four performances the hall was filled with an excited audience ready to watch 40 more students take to our stage. The stage came to life with vibrant colours (not to mention an 8ft Hairspray can!), loads of bright costumes ready to take you back to the 60s for the last week of the half term.
