Weekly Chaplaincy News

Our Chaplaincy Team participated in the annual Chaplaincy Commissioning Mass at St Chad’s Cathedral this week. During the year the Chaplaincy Team will work with the headteacher, governors, staff and students to ensure that the values and ethos of our Catholic school are celebrated. In the next few weeks we will have our House masses at the Abbey. I would like to invite as many parents and guardians as possible to attend so as to support our students and school community.

In assemblies this week we have reflected on the importance of compassion and how we are all called to reach out in love to each other. As a community of families, may we pray to the Holy Family for their support and resolve to love one another.

As you know next week is Macmillan Coffee Morning. While enjoying a cup of tea and a cake, we will be thinking about the marvellous work of the Macmillan nurses and others and raising as much money for them as we can.

Voluntary mass will continue this Tuesday, please encourage your child to attend. On Friday we will have exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. During this time, we remember you in your prayers.

In preparation for Sunday mass this weekend, I will leave

you with this thought. Jesus says, "Anyone who welcomes one of these little children in my name, welcomes me." It is through our children who are God’s gift to us that we get a glimpse of the greatness of God as revealed in the person of Jesus Christ.

St Edmund Campion Pray for us.
